Set of 4 Vintage MacBeth Evans Chinex Dinner Plates, 9.75" Diameter Plates with Ridged Edges. This set of 4 plates is the perfect addition to your vintage dishware collection.  Small compared to modern dinner plates, but these were the standard size in the early mid century period.  These plates have a solid center, an edge with ridges, and a smaller border of petal-like ridged sections around that.  The underside of the plate has concentric circles on the flat portion, and is plain on the lifted portion. These have no chips or cracks and have wonderful shine.  Couple of tiny spots, shown in photos. Really fun basics for the vintage lover.
These also glow under a black light! There is a photo showing one of these plates and a ceramic restaurant ware plate for comparison - the green glow is the uranium glass. Uranium glass was often the reason for some of the color. As a result, these should not be used in the microwave, they will crack.
