    Description

    Very Rare Confederate South Carolina Civil War Belt Buckle. These buckles did not have lead poured into them and were thick cast in construction and the attachments soldered into place. Areas of gold guilting can still be seen. The buckle measures 88mm X 57.5mm. They are listed in Kerksis and Gavin’s books but none are pictured. I have only seen two of these buckles. A box plate of similar construction is listed but I have never seen one.
