Double Buckle waist belt, Civil War?, used vintage

Is it a belt from the American Civil War? Honestly I do not know. It came to me as a purchase with no history. It must be judged on its own merits. Waist belts were not common in the 19th century except for military use and later to carry holsters. One style of civilian belt in use was the double buckle belt. Having tow small buckels can make a more comfortable belt than one large buckle, especially a harness buckle. Later wide belts use a smaller buckle sewn on to a seperate piece. As you can see in the photos this belt uses two iron centerbar roller buckles. They are 5/8 inch wide. The belt will fit a waist between 34 and 38 inches, although I would not use it for anything but display. The belt is 2 1/4 inches wide and made of a light weight leather about 4-6 ounce. There is a border crease. Initials have been cut into the belt near the buckles. It lookx like AM and AX although the X may be an M done badly. The belt is dark brown on both side.
