    Description

    This auction is for a Civil War Era Carbine Sling Buckle And Belt Tip by TJ Shepard Gaylord, Chicopee, Mass. It is stamped on the back of the buckle. The tip may be marked but has not been cleaned and cannot see marks. The buckle is 3 1/4" x 2". The tip is 2 1/2" x 1". Both are in good condition with some normal wear and tear. The tangs are movable without breaks or fractures. One tang has a little rust. The tip has its rivets with a little remanence of the leather belt in rivets. Both have a nice patina. If these were dug I do not have proof but more then likely so. They came from a life long collectors estate. Do some research and look at all the pictures carefully.
