Antique 4 Piece George Jones & Sons Crescent England Large Wash Basin & Pitcher Set. Based on the markings, this dates to 1893 or before. George Jones & Sons was renamed George Jones & Sons LTD in 1894. This is a rare set. It is in overall great shape, minor paint loss on the edges, no chips, no cracks. The wash basin measures 6 1/2" tall, excluding the height of the handles, it is 1ft 3 3/8" in diameter (15 3/8"). The dual handled pitcher looks like it would hold about 2 gallons of water, it is large. It measures 12 1/2" tall, it measures about 10" from outside edge of front handle to outside edge of back handle. Top opening is 6 7/8" from back to front. Soap dish is 3 piece and measures about 3 1/2" tall, 5 3/4" in diameter. Toothbrush, razor/comb holder measures 4 1/4" tall at the tallest point, attached oval base measures 6 3/8" x 4 7/8". Photo 9 shows green markings in the center of the white area on the pitcher, it is a underglaze paint defect. Please see all photos and email with any questions.
