On offer is this antique  English  silver plated toast rack , made about 1900 - 1910 . As is often the case , there is no registration mark under the rack. The toast rack measures 8.5" long , 4.5" wide and 6.25" high. The shipping weight is 450 grams. Please note that this is not made of silver but is silver plate.
The rack is a tribute to fox hunting and will make an ideal gift for the person who likes fox hunting  but has just about everything that anyone would want in this life. Just imagine giving
them a gift to use every breakfast time !
The handle is in the form of a horseshoe  with a fox brush curling up each side. The four feet are modelled as well crafted fox masks. The rack divisions are mounted on an oval base and are formed as whips. The two end whips and the central one are formed as hound whips and the other four are formed as riding crops.
The whole is in EXCELLENT CONDITION and is beautifully polished ready to go on display.
For your guidance , I use the words " EXCELLENT CONDITION " only if it is ........., " GOOD CONDITION " to indicate that there are no serious condition problems , but that there may be surface blemishes such as light discolouration , minor dings , dents or scratches commensurate with the age of the piece.............. I use the words " REASONABLE CONDITION " to indicate that there are blemishes and dings ,dents, creases , scratches , ripples etc . Under this condition category I will always qualify such defects , but please ask if you want any clarification of damages to any given piece.
